John Spieker, M.D.

 
Dr. Spieker joined Metro Anesthesia in 1995, and currently serves as a member of the Management Committee, Credentialing Committee, Metro Political Action Committee, Call Schedule Committee and serves as Chair of the Peer Review Committee.

After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin, he attended medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He completed his Residency in Anesthesiology at the Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City. He is a former assistant professor of anesthesiology at the Kansas University Medical Center and current clinical assistant professor of anesthesiology at the University of Texas Southwest Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology recertified (MOCA) in 2008. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Texas Society of Anesthesiologists, and Dallas County Anesthesiologists Society.

Dr. Spieker has worked with various humanitarian organizations including Helps International in and Doctors Without Borders. In his free time, Dr. Spieker enjoys traveling, silviculture and spending time with family.
